OK - answers to the questions:
Josefina...No, the people in Mexico City are not greedy. In fact it's a really fast pace moving city that you would think the people would be rude, but they all have been really nice to us. The town we are in now called San Miguel de Allende has many "gringos". The locals here don't seem to mind, but it does bother them that almost 2000 retired Americans have come here, built up nicer homes and expect all the same resources that they have in the U.S. Water is a precious commodity here, it does bother the locals that the Americans are building up golf-courses and elite resorts that use more of their fare-share of water resources.
As for all the food- it sounds like we'll just have to have a cooking day when I get back! Not sure where we are going to find cactus!
Catalina - donuts, hmmm... they are here, but way diferente! More like a pastry or scone.
Feliz Cumpleanos Fabio!
I found 300, but also noted that it was rated "R" so lo siento... not bringing that one home!
Also, we have figured out why the are so cheap. After viewing them about 2 or 3 times, they start to skip. But, I'll still keep my eye out for Monster Inc. Don't think I'll find Monty Pythons, but will check!
Raul and Zorro - haven't seen any big spiders - yet! But check out the photo of the scorpion. We are going to the pacific coast soon, I am sure I'll find big spiders there!
Frijole - no - very few foreigners in Mexico City. Most are there for business. Not too many people want to brave the pollution!
This burro was also being used to transport cement.
Notice the Honda in the background. There are now about 3-5 of these on the Peninsula. They are used to haul goods, but are way too expensive for the average person!
